Pepper needs a home where she won't be left alone for long, and has understanding owners that can work on her seperation and build it up slowly and only once she is settled in her new home. Pepper would suit an active family that want a dog they can take out on lots of long walks, but also want a dog that would cuddle up to them on the sofa in the evening while watching TV. She really is the best of both, and is just waiting to find to her forever family. * This dog is currently being rehomed under our Homestay scheme. Under this scheme, the dog stays with their current owner until the point of adoption, when ownership transfers briefly to Dogs Trust and then to the new adopters. The benefits of Homestay for a dog are that it minimises disruption and prevents the dog having to come into kennels, however there is the potential the owner may pull out of the scheme prior to adoption. We understand the upset this may cause to potential adopters, and we work closely with owners to minimise the likelihood of this. However, it remains a possibility, and should this occur, Dogs Trust will prioritise finding adopters an alternative suitable dog.
