Cheryl Hoofnagle: I place my Portuguese Water Dogs in the greater Washington D.C., Delaware, and New Jersey areas. An Active/voting member of the Portuguese Water Dog Club of America, I compete my dogs in conformation events. All puppies are followed closely with a home visit at one year and yearly follow up by email thereafter. I know the health and status of every dog I have bred and am proud of the temperament and conformation of my puppies. In 24 years of breeding I have not had any puppies with Addison's Disease, Inflammatory Bowel Disease, or Epilepsy (all issues in this breed). A face to face interview with the whole family is a requirement prior to my accepting a deposit to hold a puppy for you. I prefer homes without toddlers and an adult home most of the day. Buyers interested in a show/breeding dog are given preference. Puppies cost $3500.00. I mentor 3 other breeders ( who list using my kennel name) that live in NJ. DE, and VA.
