About Cecil Creek Kennel - Jeff and Jean Wathen

Jeff Wathen is from Maryland and breeds Basset Hounds. Cecil Creek Kennel has been breeding quality Basset Hounds for over 30 years, our current Sire BO is 50% European and is very active and athletic. We are located in Southern Maryland in a rural setting, They have a large fenced in backyard to get plenty of exercise. Jean and I have both been trained to teach basic and advanced obedience which included courses in brain development and the different stages of a puppy's life. Cecil Creek currently has four dams that we are breeding, two are owned by us Bella is Tri-color and is an American bloodline and Baylee is brown and white and is 75% European bloodline and the other two are owned by my daughter Julie who still resides on the family farm. AKC proudly supports dedicated and responsible breeders. We encourage all prospective puppy owners to do their research and be prepared with questions to ask the breeder.
