Klamath Falls, Oregon, United States
Cheryl Forrest, of Oregon, has been raising the Bichon Frise breed for overtwenty years. She has been providing Bichons as companion pets to many who she enjoys receiving updates and feedback from about how the pups are growing, what adventures they've been on and is happy to know her pups are well loved and healthy. Cheryl breeds for beauty, brains and braun, as her Bichons have good conformation, coats and strong pigment. She does OFA testing as well. Their temperaments are sweet, flexible and sociable. Her adult Bichons are 9-10lbs on average. They go everywhere with her and are loved like kids. Cheryl gives her pups lots of exercise before they go to new homes, helping to build a foundation of strength early. She builds trust with them by offering a consistent routine they can feel confident to trust and grow within. She refers all her puppy parents to the Bichon Frise Club of America's website and encourages them educate themselves about the breed. A prospective buyer first contacts Cheryl by phone at 541-500-7065 personally for an introductory conversation. An application/questionnaire will be sent via email followed by another phone conversation to review the application. Several phone calls are made before a puppy is secured or reserved by the new owner. Cheryl continually educates herself about the breed, canine nutrition and health, reads and collects books on the Bichon Frise, subscribes to holistic vet newsletters, and continues to share what she has learnt about the breed with her puppy parents. Each puppy is given a nutritious diet, lots of indoor/outdoor playtime, both individually and as a group, lots of cuddling and kisses. Cheryl grooms her Bichons and puppies and encourages puppy-parents to be equally involved, helping the puppy to accept to being handled and trained to be groomed happily. Repeated brushing, bathing, nail trims, scissor trims, teeth brushing, especially during their first year makes for a happy well-groomed Bichon for life. Cheryl offers ongoing support and educational information to new puppy-parents, doing her best to act as a resource to them so they can offer the puppy the happiest, longest life possible.
