Laura Steward is from Washington and breeds Longhair Miniature Dachshunds. I am a small animal Veterinarian and have been involved in showing and breeding dogs for over 30 years. It is a lifelong passion for me and it means a lot to me to do it right and to be a good and responsible breeder. In the past I have had Labradors and Australian Cattle Dogs. Now I have the dachshunds and we also have 2 Miniature American Shepherds. My Doxies are bred for temperament, health, and structural soundness, with the goal of producing loving and healthy pets. All of my dogs are microchipped before they leave here with AKC Reunite microchips. These can be traced back to me and allow me to take lifelong responsibility for any dog that I produce if necessary. I feel that is very important and a big part of being a responsible breeder that does not contribute to the huge " rescue " problem that we have now. Even if I do not have any puppies listed, I am happy to have people contact me with questions about dachshunds or to get on the list for a future puppy. Thank you !
