Tonya Higdon is from Versailles, Kentucky 40383 (just outside Lexington, Kentucky) and only breeds and shows Cocker Spaniels. She breeds in accordance with AMERICAN SPANIEL CLUB (ASC) and AKC breed standards and has bred multiple top winning AKC confirmation champion cocker spaniels. She is an active member in good standing with her AKC National Breed Club, ASC, and her local specialty club, the Cocker Spaniel Club of Kentucky. She has served as a club officer for over 20 years. Potential parents are health tested as recommended by the parent breed club, ASC, prior to breeding, and she follows their Code of Ethics for breeding cocker spaniels. Tonya raises puppies in her home with her children and averages one litter a year in order to give her puppies the much needed extra attention to be well adjusted to a home environment. Companion quality puppies are normally in most litters and occasionally a retired show dog is available for placement in a loving companion home. A spay/neuter contract is required on those placed in companion homes in accordance with the ASC Code of Ethics.
