Hi there, Thanks for your interest in our American Cocker Spaniels! Puppies are $2000 each. A non-refundable deposit of $300 is required to hold one puppy. When you do put in a deposit, you are agreeing to pick up the puppy within three days of when they turn 8 weeks old. A week over the three days grace, will be an extra $50. You must plan on picking up the puppy no later than 10 days after they turn 8 weeks old. Its so much easier for them to make the transition to their new homes when they go home ASAP. I do supply a contract once the puppy has been reserved. It is mostly for your peace of mind and protection, but we do ask that our dogs never be placed in a shelter - if you're unable to keep the dog, you can either rehome yourself or relinquish to us and we will Find a home for the dog. We ask that you make sure everyone that needs to be on board IS on board before you send a deposit. Puppies will come with limited AKC registration. (No breeding rights) Parents are Embarq Health/Genetic tested and compatible. Both have good temperaments and are great with kids. Our dogs have regular vet checkups, flea/tick treatments, heartworm prevention treatment, and deworming. Embarq genetic health testing just tests for various problem genes in dogs. All cocker spaniels have one problem gene in relation to their spines, but with proper care its usually not an issue. There are various other problem genes that dogs could have, and we dont breed dogs that would have two copies of those problem genes. Some dogs will have one copy of a problem gene, which means that they could produce that problem gene IF the other parent has it - but our male dog is 100% clear and doesn't carry any of those problem genes, so none of our puppies will ever carry both copies of a problem gene. Does that make sense? The genetic testing is just to make sure we arent breeding in issues into dogs. :) Puppies will have basic pad training and leash training before they leave. They will be socialized and exposed to cats, dogs, and of course will be played with gently by our five kids. They are raised in a loud active family, so they have the advantage of being less skittish than many puppies. They will have received their first bath, and been exposed to various surfaces and situations to help alleviate some of the common fears. Each puppy will have all proper FIRST immunizations and be dewormed before they leave for their new home. You will be responsible for follow-up immunizations. Each puppy will come with a collar, a toy, and also a blanket that smells like its littermates. Our dogs range in the 17-25lb range. Pickup location is always Winston-Salem, NC. We do work with one ground transporter, although if someone wishes to fly in and take the puppy with them, we are ok with that, since they will be with their new family at that point. Susanna
Merry and gentle with big dreamy eyes and a lush coat. The smallest sporting breed, but a sturdy sportsman.
