The "Cold Mountain" Siberian is a more athletic , thinner, narrower head, taller ear, closer ear set, more leggy , less dense of a coat specimen . The Cold Mountain strain is based on the Original Strain of Sled Dogs originating in America in the early 1900's by Leonard Seppala. This is not a breed suitable for apartment life and I will not sell into that environment. Suitable owners are those with an active physical lifestyle that will afford the dog plenty of exercise. This Listing is for puppies that are AKC registered and of Cold Mountain lineage. What differs is the Cold Mountain line is kept, through breeding, a more athletic version of today’s Standard Siberian. The Cold Mountain Siberian typically weighs less, stands taller, maintains a less dense coat and has taller ears. My puppies tend to take on a more wolf like appearance and it is very common for owners to be asked if their dog is a Wolf ! Rest assured it is not.
