I am dedicated to raising healthy, well balance litters of Dogs and puppies for over 30 years, EXPERIENCE DOES COUNT!!! My interest for them started when I was 12 years old . I rescued my first Weim named "BUFFY" and then second female a couple of years later while working at a show kennel in S.C. that raised Doberman Pinschers and Miniature Schnauzers. This is where a spark also peaked my interest in Dobermans. I worked some days after school and weekends starting at the bottom with a lot cleaning chores, grooming dogs, attending a few dog shows and working my way to the top later on as a Breeder. Once I moved to GA. I rescued my second female Weimaraner name "BABE" from the UGA vet school. They have been my devoted companion ever since. I love many of the German breeds “Everyone knows you can't have just one!” The Weimaraner bloodlines I have are loaded with show and hunting champions in their pedigree. They are highly intelligent so training & commands come quickly, they are confident, loving and loyal with a sweet natured dispositions. Due to their love and devotion they can sometimes show separation anxiety. These are few of the excellent qualities you can expect from our pups at Windy Nights Weims. These German retrievers are virtually non-shedding with no odor. Both breeds do very well with children, other pets, water and crate training if they are socialized and introduced to these things at a young age. They are very versatile dogs and adapt well to most any lifestyle, but do require frequent exercising. They prefer to interact with people on a daily basis. I use a select breeding program for sound, quality pups. We strive to raise pups that are free from genetic abnormalities. Many Weim pups from our past and recent litters are performing well at hunting pheasant, woodcock and grouse. They are enthusiastic with agility competitions as well. We would like for you to have an opportunity to see the finer qualities of a Weimaraner here at Windy Nights Weims. Some of our previous pups are involved in agility competitions, hunting titles,search and rescue. I no longer breed my Weimaraner’s most of Retired and in Spayed or neutered some are still available. We don’t breed our Dobies until they are around 2 years of age or older and only raise 1 litter per year from our girls. We only raise 1 to 2 litters a year, total. We put a lot of time and hard work into our babies. We take into great consideration the atmosphere where our pups will be raised. My Weims and Dobermans are not confined to a kennel. Many stay in our home. Our Dogs are free to roam around on 6 acres with a 5' fence divided into 3 sections on our fenced property. Our pups are raised in our home until 3 1/2 weeks of age and transferred to whelping area designed especially for them in our kennel area next to our home. Kennel area is a clean climate controlled enclosure that has surveillance with audio and night vision, music, ceiling fan, soft lighting, running water in tub for bathing, also washer & dryer for cleaning their bedding. A doggie- door where they can go in and out at their own leisure. They can also lay on their covered porch or go out to a large grassy play area where there is plenty of sunshine and shade trees with a child's small swimming pool during the hot, summer months. These are family pets raised with our grandchildren and livestock also in and out of our home on a daily basis in a country environment. The pups tails are docked and dewclaws removed by 3 days. Vaccinations and dewormings are up to date at the time of purchase. We give copies of the pedigrees, available health certificates and other important health literature I will pass on to you . I also give a puppy starter kit which includes their health records,collar leash, samples etc. I do highly recommend a large metal crate for housebreaking, training and for their own safety while they are unattended.
