For the past two decades, German Shorthaired Pointers have been our primary focus. Our pups thrive in homes that provide strong pack leadership, consistent discipline, obedience training, and plenty of exercise. If you let us know what you're looking for in a dog, we’ll do our best to match you with the right litter for both your family and your hunting needs. At Creekwood Kennels, we breed selectively for temperament, sound conformation, field performance, and, most importantly, health. We believe that a well-bred dog should not only perform in the field but also represent the standard of the breed—balanced structure, proper movement, and correct size. Some of our dogs hunt wild quail in Texas and occasionally pheasant in Nebraska. Our German Shorthairs are instinctive hunters with strong prey drive and natural retrieving abilities. That said, not all of our pups go to hunting homes—many become loyal, loving companions and thrive as active family dogs. These dogs are intelligent, affectionate, and eager to please, making them excellent partners both in the field and at home. The owner of Cours spoke highly of this breeder, stating that she has had several of his dogs, and they have all excelled in training. She is now 6 months old, and we absolutely adore her. When I have her out in public, I get so many compliments on her roan and tick markings and her friendliness. I really liked being able to pick my own puppy online since I live 13 hours away from this breeder. Once I made my deposit my puppys photo was taken down, but Lane kept me posted with photos via text as she got bigger. This is a family run business, very personable with phone calls and text, the buying process was very easy, and I was provided with all her paperwork and shot records. Beautiful dogs and you can pick your pup online versus paying a large kennel to pick based off of when your deposit is received. I purchased a liver and roan GSP female in December 2023 and we absolutely adore her! She is full of energy, born to hunt and a great family dog that gets along well with my other dogs!
