Rosanna Herrick lives in New Jersey and breeds AKC Pembroke Welsh Corgi. I breed for health, personality, disposition, trainability and of course, the AKC PWC standard for type. Sire and Dam have recommend DNA testing done, OFA and CEAR to insure healthy pups. My pups are raised as part of my family so they will easily assimilate into your family. Pups are included in all family activities, are socialized and introduced to potty and crate training. Pups come with health guarantees. Your Peace of Mind is Our Priority When you're considering adding a Pembroke Welsh Corgi puppy to your family, you may have read that responsible breeders conduct health testing. We want to explain exactly what this means and why it matters for your future companion. Complete Health Testing of Our Breeding Dogs Both the sire (father) and dam (mother) of this litter have undergone comprehensive health testing to ensure we're breeding only the healthiest dogs possible. Here's what each test protects your puppy from: Genetic Disease Testing EIC (Exercise Induced Collapse) Testing EIC is a genetic condition that causes dogs to lose control of their hind legs during intense exercise or excitement. Affected dogs may collapse and be unable to move for several minutes, which can be frightening for both dog and owner. Our breeding dogs have been DNA tested and are clear, meaning your puppy cannot develop this condition. DM (Degenerative Myelopathy) Testing Degenerative Myelopathy is a progressive disease of the spinal cord that typically affects older dogs, causing gradual paralysis starting with the hind legs. It's similar to ALS in humans. Through DNA testing, we've confirmed both parents are clear, ensuring your puppy will never develop this devastating condition. VWD (Von Willebrand Disease) Testing Von Willebrand Disease is a bleeding disorder where the blood doesn't clot properly. Dogs with this condition can experience dangerous bleeding from minor injuries or during surgery. Our breeding dogs have been tested and are clear, so your puppy will have normal blood clotting ability. Physical Health Evaluations Hip X-rays (Hip Dysplasia Screening) Hip dysplasia occurs when the hip joint doesn't form properly, leading to arthritis and mobility problems. Both parents have had their hips evaluated by veterinary specialists and have been scored, significantly reducing the risk of your puppy developing hip problems later in life. Clear Eye Examinations Our breeding dogs have been examined by veterinary ophthalmologists and certified clear of hereditary eye diseases such as progressive retinal atrophy (which causes blindness), cataracts, and other eye conditions that can affect Corgis. What This Means for Your Puppy By conducting all these tests, we can confidently assure you that your puppy: Will not develop EIC, DM, or VWD Has the best possible genetic foundation for healthy hips Is at minimal risk for hereditary eye diseases Comes from parents who have been thoroughly screened for the health problems most commonly seen in Pembroke Welsh Corgis Our Commitment to You This comprehensive testing represents our commitment to breeding healthy, happy Corgis and gives you confidence that you're welcoming a puppy with the best possible start in life. We believe that responsible breeding means going above and beyond to ensure every puppy we produce has the genetic foundation for a long, healthy, and active life with their new family.
