Diane Sponaugle/ The Happy Woofer, resides in Delaware and we love our Vizslas. I have been a dog breeder for 52 years. Eleven years ago, my daughter was graduating college and wanted to get herself a puppy. With all of the breeds that I had bred, I had not heard of a Vizsla. After helping to raise Harley, her Vizsla, I fell in love with the breed. After 52 years of breeding, I have slowed down and now pretty much only breed my two favorite breeds, the Vizsla and Toy Poodle; both such loyal, lovable, smart breeds. Raising Smart, Confident and Loving Vizslas has been our love for 10 years and the love of my life. The parents have had genetic testing and they came back 100% free of genetic defects! AKC proudly supports dedicated and responsible breeders. We encourage all prospective puppy owners to do their research and be prepared with questions to ask the breeder. Make sure you are not only choosing the right breed for you, but also that you’re getting it from the right individual.
