Sandra Fair is from Southern California (Canyon Lake) and breeds Bichon Frises. I am a Breeder of Merit-Bronze which means that I meet all of the standards required by AKC to be a Breeder of Merit and the Bronze means that I have enough Champions to my name that I qualify for the Bronze Level. I take the Breeder of Merit seriously as it is only given to those who are diligent with the requirements set out as well as testing of their dogs and required paperwork. It is also very important that all puppies are AKC registered in all of your litters. Another important aspect of this program is the health of our breed. All of my dogs that are in my breeding program are tested thoroughly and must have their CHIC no. I feel I am special as a breeder and something that sets me apart from most other breeders is the fact that I stay close to the dam and her litter from the time I expect her to go into labor until the time the puppies are ready to go to their forever homes. I enjoy being with my mama dogs and their new offspring and look forward to the time I will be with them. I prepare for my time with them in advance and enjoy our special time together. I am a small breeder so each and every litter, as well as each little puppy is extremely important to me. Every puppy is weighed daily and given individual attention from Day 1 and the care and love continues and grows appropriately with age until they go to their forever homes. They are my life during these several weeks!! AKC proudly supports dedicated and responsible breeders. We encourage all prospective puppy owners to do their research and be prepared with questions to ask the breeder. Make sure you are not only choosing the right breed for you, but also that you’re getting it from the right individual. I keep soft music on for mama and litter when first born until about three weeks and keep their surroundings dark and quiet (except for soft music) until their eyes open at two weeks. Pups are socialized appropriately so that they will be receptive to their new buyers. They are carefully kept away from disease of any kind until they are appropriately vaccinated. They go home microchipped and vaccinated with two shots of appropriate vaccines. I keep pups a little longer than 8 weeks to be sure they are totally ready to be away from litter and mommy and mature enough to handle their new life experiences. I feel I give my puppies extra love and attention daily, and they always remember me when they come back to visit. I like to stay in touch with my new owners in case they have questions and to hear about development of baby pup that I sold to them. I love to receive pictures of them too.
Cheerful, playful companion with a powder-puff white coat. Hypoallergenic and loves to perform tricks.
