I have owned and fostered Norwegian Elkhounds over the last 30 years as an adult, but my love of Elkhounds began when I begged my dad for a dog. He ended up bringing home an Elkhound puppy he got at the pound. Her name was Heidi. I was hooked the minute I laid eyes on her. Both the mom and dad are pure Norwegian Elkhounds with lots of energy and love.
