About Herding Dog Ranch

Herding Dog Ranch is a working ranch in North Texas. We have been "owned" by Shelties since 1998. We have been breeding Shetland Sheepdogs since 2011. We are dedicated to keeping the Sheltie work ethic alive. Our Shelties assist with herding our sheep, goats, llamas, horses, chickens & ducks -- as they were bred to do. We don't do it in the ring, we do it for REAL! Our puppies are raised by hand with our family and get a ton of attention. We wean with goat milk and Rachael Ray Nutrish kibble. All of our puppies come with vaccines, and de-wormer. My teenage son has grown up literally surrounded by Shelties and is now our CPO: Chief Puppy Officer, in charge of petting, cuddling, and puppy care. AKC proudly supports dedicated and responsible breeders. We encourage all prospective puppy owners to do their research and be prepared with questions to ask the breeder. Make sure you are not only choosing the right breed for you, but also that you’re getting it from the right individual.
