About Highwater
I've been involved in the sport of purebred dogs, starting alongside my parents with Dobermans in 1968. My first Chesapeake literally found me more than thirty years ago. I have a great deal of admiration for the breed, their loyalty, athleticism, and steadfastness. I have never had more than a few at a time as there's only so much of me to go around. All of my dogs have been house dogs, and I prefer to place puppies into a similar situation. I only breed a very occasional litter. In addition, I am the president and show chair of the Fort St. Clair Kennel Club and have been involved with American Foxhounds.
