About Idlewild
I got my Shetland Sheepdog in 1996, beginning in AKC and 4-H conformation, junior handling and later agility. After taking a break for college and health issues, I got back into conformation, agility, tricks and later fast CAT in 2011 beginning with a new puppy. He would become my first AKC champion and led me to acquiring what would become the foundation of my breeding program in 2013 with the first litter being born in Oct. of 2014. I strongly believe in the importance of health testing and strive to produce beautiful dogs to the AKC standard that will be fabulous companions but have the ability to excel in any venue. Our dogs are 100% in the house.
