Holly Meredith "Shelly" of Kokino Shiba Inu's is located in Southern California. Please feel free to call or text if there is no response to your message. AKC proudly supports dedicated and responsible breeders. Kokino Shiba Inu's encourage all prospective puppy owners to do their research and be prepared with questions to ask the breeder. (ex. What health testing has been completed on the parents, and is it listed on the OFA website?) Make sure you are not only choosing the right breed for you and your lifestyle, but also that you’re getting it from a reputable and transparent breeder. We are members of the AKC Bred with H.E.A.R.T. program. Breeders that participate in the AKC Bred with H.E.A.R.T. program pledge to uphold the program values of health, education, accountability, responsibility, and tradition. All puppies are sold on a spay/neuter contract to approved homes.
The Shiba Inu is a compact, agile spitz-type dog originally bred to flush birds and small game through dense mountain undergrowth in Japan. The smallest of the six native Japanese breeds, the Shiba is prized for its independent, confident temperament and fox-like appearance.
