About Lockewood Goldens

Lockewood Goldens are owned and raised by Leonard and Alyce Peterson. We are from Northern California and breed Golden Retrievers. Leonard started breeding dogs as a teenager and continued into his twenties. He put the breeding aside for a while to raise his family. Together we have owned and raised golden retrievers for over 20 years. In 2017, we decided to get back into breeding by raising two female golden retrievers. AKC proudly supports dedicated and responsible breeders. We encourage all prospective puppy owners to do their research and be prepared with questions to ask the breeder. Make sure you are not only choosing the right breed for you, but also that you’re getting it from the right individual.
