Jennifer Sudbury (formerly McLaughlin) is an AKC breeder of Merit from Pennsylvania and has bred Dalmatians since 1990 when she started McDottie Dalmatians. She is active in the show ring for AKC and UKC shows. She has been dedicated to the dalmatian breed and is an active member in her breed clubs and training club. She makes sure that all puppies are BAER hearing tested. All pups are given microchips, at least 2 doses of vaccines and routine worming. All pups come with AKC registration. Litters are DCA Futurity nominated. Some litters are bred for prevention of urinary stones (hyperuricosuria) and have pups that are DNA tested. Hyperuricosuria is slightly common in dalmatians. Retired show dogs are also available from time to time. Jennifer has individually written contracts on all pups/dogs that includes health warranty up to 24 months of age, etc. McDottie Dalmatians are also active in FastCAT, Rally, Fetch, and Agility. Dalmatians need to RUN a LOT and need a fenced yard of their own - not a dog park. Please understand that this breed was bred to run, to protect, and to catch birds/ rats/mice/small animals. They also shed year round. They tend to bark a lot. They are also very loyal and are known as "velcro dogs". They want to be with you and are eager to please. They are intelligent with great memories. They train well with treats and toys. They respond well to happy voice commands and positive motivational training and/or clicker training. They are athletic and love Agility Fast CAT, Barn Hunt, Herding, Rally, Obedience, and Conformation competitions. They also love earning Trick Titles. Jennifer breeds quality dalmatians for temperament, structure, and good health. She is an AKC Breeder of Merit. AKC proudly supports dedicated and responsible breeders.
