About MIKENWA
Mikenwa Shiba Inu was established in 2023 when I emigrated to Australia and brought my two Shiba Inu’s from the UK. Janet an 11 year old retired female, and Tucker my 2-year-old boy. In 2024 I imported a new female, and she is now part of our pack. I maybe new to the world of Shiba’s but I have had a passion for them for many years. I have been mentored by my good friend Mrs Irene Rushfirth of Hikays Show Kennels, who has been in dogs for over 50 years and has a wealth of experience in Shiba Inu

The Shiba Inu is a compact, agile spitz-type dog originally bred to flush birds and small game through dense mountain undergrowth in Japan. The smallest of the six native Japanese breeds, the Shiba is prized for its independent, confident temperament and fox-like appearance.
