I began raising collies on a small hobby farm in 2005. I started with three lovely collies from Tapaderro Kennel. While Karol was getting out of raising collies, after a dedicated thirty years, I was about to begin, and started with the last of her line to begin my own. My first dog at fifteen was an Irish Setter, and although I only raise an occasional litter of these magnificent and merry-hearted dogs, the are the perfect complement to the collie: fun-loving, gentle and mischievous, sweet with children, a bit harder to restrain around the chickens, but lovely and gallant in the fields, woods, and at play with other dogs.
