Hello, my name is Jacob. I founded Shady Grove more than 20 years ago, with the intention of turning my passion for Cavalier King Charles Spaniels into a career. You can call or text me at 330-275-2434 Over the years, I’ve come to realize there is more to this breed than love and companionship. I’ve decided to take a step in a new direction – we have recently begun showing dogs in the American Kennel Club (AKC). Our success in showing is a great way for us to confirm that our breeding selections are correct, and gives us the perfect forum to share information and techniques with other dedicated breeders. Here at Shady Grove we combine old-fashioned compassion and know-how with the latest technology and techniques. My family and I spend plenty of personal time with our dogs and their babies, to make sure they are socialized and to evaluate their health and temperaments. All our dogs undergo genetic testing including EF and CKCSID and are examined for the heart, eye and patella conditions that Cavalier breeders need to watch out for.
