TagAlong PWD only breeds on occasion and focuses on health and performance. Siena, my first Portuguese Water Dog (PWD) came to our home as a very energetic puppy who you guessed it - wanted to "TagAlong" everywhere. PWDs require lifelong training and exercise so expect to get a few questions when you contact reputable breeders. As an active member of my national breed club, AKC all breed and training clubs, I am blessed to have had my first PWD and her offspring earn titles in Obedience, Rally, Agility and Conformation. Along the way I have learned a lot about the smart and impulsive antics of the PWD. You need to be a firm and fair leader of the household. Working daily with my dogs and actively participating in social and canine events makes me keenly aware of how important it is to place puppies in the right home. Health testing and temperament testing are performed before placing puppies. A PWD will be your best friend if you devote the time and make the commitment to them from puppyhood thru their senior adult years.
