Good Day, My name is Cyndi and welcome to The House of Berner. My mom used to breed and show Pomeranians and Rottweilers. So, I come by it honestly, lol. While they are wonderful dogs, I first saw and fell in love with, a Bernese Mountain Dog when she was on the southern show circuit in the mid 1980's. When I discovered they are a dry mouth breed, that clinched it. I have always liked a dog that I don't have to bend over to pet. But it seems that most big dog breeds slobber. Since they live in our house, that is where I draw the line. Anyone that has seen 'Beethoven' or 'Turner and Hootch' knows exactly what I mean. Breeding responsibly, I share my passion with others. With their trademark Berner Grin, calm disposition and beautiful coloration, these gentle giants have been quiet wallflowers for too long. I'm pleased to see they are finally getting some of the recognition they so richly deserve. Although my mom passed away many years ago, I know we are making her proud.
