Holly Hayek is a small hobby breeder located in north central Massachusetts and breeds top quality WORKING line German Shepherd Dogs that are excellent for dog sport homes, search and rescue, police K9, or active and experienced pet homes. These dogs can perform the work you request of them and can also settle down as devoted loyal companions indoors, with proper training, consistency, and guidance. These puppies have healthy strong structures, excellent and highly-desired bloodlines, excellent nerves and temperament, famous parent & grandparents and on up the pedigree, with multiple generations of world-level schutzhund titled dogs. A schutzhund titled dog has passed a character/temperament test, a tracking test, an obedience test, and a protection test. Schutzhund is the old German breed standard test to determine if a shepherd is truly a breed-worthy German Shepherd. Schutzhund titled dogs are athletic, mentally and physically adept, and have excellent temperaments, nerves and drives. I actually train and trial my dogs, including my breeding females, in addition to breeding to very worthy, extremely healthy, and titled studs. My titles prove my dogs can do the work (both physically and mentally) that a shepherd has historically been bred to do. I do the early neurological stimulation exercises on my puppies between 3-16 days of age, to stimulate and enhance their nerves to provide a more stable temperament as adult dogs. I do many of the Puppy Culture & AviDog early conditioning steps. My GSDs have excellent hips, elbows, shoulders and spine, have stable nerves, are healthy, happy, energetic dogs, and are not at risk for DM. I do not cut corners: Puppies are wormed (several times if needed) and are vet checked before 9 weeks old to better detect any possible issues that may not yet be evident in a puppies' first few days of life. I can also provide AKC Reunite microchips. Once you get a German Shepherd, you'll wonder why you never got one sooner. Training these adorable yet active & smart pups is a must, and a fenced yard is highly recommended. AKC proudly supports dedicated and responsible breeders.
