We started breeding nine years ago. Our introduction to the breed was bringing our family dog Beckett into our home. She was and has continued to be an ideal addition to our family. We fell in love with the breed. Following Beckett's addition, we rescued Gryffin, our first female breeder. She was a very sweet and loving dog who birthed one litter a year for three years. We retired and re-homed her in 2020 to a retired woman whose home was more conducive to Gryffin's temperament. Early 2021 we got our second breeding female, Tilly and our first stud Bucky. They were best friends and very attached to each other. Sadly, Bucky sustained a fatal injury. Following this tragic loss, we were fortunate to find another male puppy, Hank, related to Bucky! They share some very desirable traits. About the same time, we located a tri-colored female who is presently of the age to breed. We are looking forward to the litters she and Hank produce. We are not a commercial breeder and have limited our breeding practice to one litter a year. We prioritize the health and happiness of our dogs and strive to keep them as content as possible. Puppies are raised in our kitchen as part of our family. They receive a high level of socialization with the interactions of the children (highly supervised!) and the parents in our in-home daycare. They are never at the loss of attention! AKC proudly supports dedicated and responsible breeders. We encourage all prospective puppy owners to do their research and be prepared with questions to ask the breeder. Make sure you are not only choosing the right breed for you, but also that you’re getting it from the right individual.
