About Us – Yoru’s Dojo Legacy Yoru’s Dojo Legacy began not with a business plan, but with a deep love for our Shiba Inus and a home full of heart. This is our first official litter as a family, and while breeding wasn’t originally in our plans, the journey has been a beautiful and unexpected one. Our mama Shiba, Yoru, has had two litters prior to joining our family—but this is her first with us, and it’s been an experience we’ve poured our hearts into. Our kennel name was inspired by Yoru herself—strong, calm, and deeply loyal. “Dojo Legacy” reflects the spirit of discipline, resilience, and honor we see in her and hope to pass on through her puppies. Yoru also carries champion bloodlines on both sides of her pedigree, with Gold Typhoon on her dam’s side and Thunder Mountain on her sire’s side, both appearing in her fifth generation. These respected names in the Shiba Inu world contribute to her confident presence and elegant structure. Our stud, Spike, brings a playful, confident energy and champion lineage as well, complementing Yoru’s grace perfectly. Their puppies carry the best of both—beauty, intelligence, and that classic Shiba independence. We’re a small, family-based breeder located in Gaston County, NC, and we believe in raising our puppies right—in our home, not in kennels. Surrounded by our children, our pups are socialized from day one with plenty of love, interaction, and hands-on care. Our kids are involved in every step, helping to create confident, well-rounded companions.
