Writing a Breeder Review

Reviews help other pet seekers make informed decisions and encourage breeders to maintain high standards. If you have purchased a pet from a breeder listed on Pet Breeder Hub, we encourage you to share your experience.

• You must have a Pet Breeder Hub account and be logged in.
• You must have a "Pet Seeker" account (breeders cannot review other breeders).
• You can only write one review per breeder.
• Reviews are currently limited to users in the United States.

1. Go to the breeder's profile page. Search for the breeder in the directory or find them through your saved breeders.
2. Click "Write a Review". This button appears on the breeder's profile page. You will be taken to the review form.
3. Rate the breeder overall. Select a star rating from 1 to 5.
4. Rate individual categories. Score the breeder in each area:
   • Health — Vaccination, health testing, genetic screening.
   • Transparency — Contract clarity, guarantees, return policy.
   • Professionalism — Communication and documentation quality.
   • Facility — Cleanliness and conditions of the environment.
   • Documentation — Registration papers, health records provided.
   • Support — Follow-up care and guidance after purchase.
5. Enter your purchase date and optionally upload proof of purchase.
6. Write your review. Describe your experience in detail. What went well? What could be improved? Be specific and factual.
7. Upload photos (optional). Photos of your pet, the facility, or documentation add credibility to your review.
8. Indicate if you would recommend this breeder to others.
9. Accept the defamation agreement. Confirm that your review is honest and based on your genuine experience.
10. Click "Submit Review". Your review will be submitted for moderation before it appears publicly.

All reviews go through a moderation process before being published. This ensures reviews meet our content guidelines and are based on genuine experiences. You will be notified by email once your review is approved or if any changes are needed.

Typical moderation time is 1–3 business days.

• Be specific about your experience rather than vague or overly general.
• Include both positives and areas for improvement — balanced reviews are the most helpful.
• Mention the breed and approximate date of purchase.
• Focus on facts and your personal experience, not rumors or hearsay.
• Avoid personal attacks or inflammatory language.
• Upload clear photos to support your review.
