Creating Your Pet Breeder Hub Account

Overview

Creating an account on Pet Breeder Hub is free and takes less than two minutes. Once registered, you can save your favorite breeders, write reviews, set up litter alerts, and much more. Breeders can also claim and manage their profiles after signing up.

What You Need

• A valid email address, or
• A Google account

Sign Up with Email

1. Go to the registration page. Click the Sign Up button in the top-right corner of any page, or navigate directly to /auth/register.
2. Enter your details. Fill in your full name, email address, and choose a strong password. Your password must be at least 8 characters long.
3. Accept the terms. Read and check the box to agree to our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
4. Click "Create Account". You will be redirected to a confirmation page.
5. Verify your email. Check your inbox for a verification email from Pet Breeder Hub. Click the link inside to activate your account. If you do not see the email, check your spam or junk folder.

Tip: Use an email address you check regularly. We send important notifications about your saved breeders and alerts to this address.

Sign Up with Google

1. Go to the registration page. Click Sign Up in the top-right corner.
2. Click "Continue with Google". You will be redirected to Google's sign-in page.
3. Select your Google account. Choose the account you want to use, or sign in to Google if prompted.
4. Grant permissions. Allow Pet Breeder Hub to access your name and email address. We never post on your behalf or access other data.
5. You're in. Your account is created automatically and you are logged in. No email verification is needed when using Google sign-in.

Choosing Your Account Type

When you first sign up, your account is set to the default "Pet Seeker" role. This lets you:

• Browse and search the breeder directory
• Save favorite breeders
• Write reviews
• Use breed tools (encyclopedia, comparison, quiz)

If you are a breeder, you can upgrade to a Breeder account by claiming an existing profile or submitting a new listing. See Claiming Your Breeder Profile for details.

Troubleshooting

I did not receive the verification email.

• Check your spam or junk folder.
• Make sure you entered the correct email address during registration.
• Wait a few minutes and try again. Some email providers delay delivery.
• If you still have not received it after 15 minutes, go to the login page and request a new verification email.

I get an error saying my email is already registered.

• You may have previously signed up. Try logging in instead, or use the password reset flow.
• If you signed up with Google previously, use the "Continue with Google" button to log in.
